Since acquiring Hoyle Mill in 1981, the Hutchings family has evolved the site from its original manufacturing purpose into a modern hub for businesses of all sizes. With a range of units available, extensive security measures, and ongoing improvements, they have ensured the spaces are designed to support productive, safe, and professional workspaces.
Hoyle Mill, operated by J&HM Properties, was purchased in 1981 by the Hutchings family for the purpose of manufacturing replacement windows and doors. It was run successfully until 2013, when a change of direction was introduced with the addition of office and workspace rentals.
Many improvements have been made over the years, including the replacement of the majority of the roof. Nearly all units have been fitted with new firewalls and electrical wiring. Multiple units are equipped with fire alarms and emergency lighting, and all units have current fire extinguishers, serviced annually. All electrical wiring comes with a current certificate of conformity.
A new road was constructed into the site in 2021. Hoyle Mill is protected by extensive CCTV, including over 30 high-resolution cameras, and one ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) camera. Most units have intruder alarms installed to BS5737 standard, complete with internal master blasters.
The site features a locked security gate, secured by the owners each evening. An internal security barrier allows entry but prevents exit without a security code. LED security lighting operates across the site from dusk to dawn.
In March 2023, 40.67 kW of solar panels were installed on the site.
